HAMILTON, Bermuda – August 17, 2017 – Argo Group International Holdings, Ltd. (NASDAQ: AGII), an international underwriter of specialty insurance and reinsurance products, today announced the appointment of Ron Vindivich to lead its U.S. Excess & Surplus lines division, which includes the company’s cornerstone Colony Specialty business. Sue Coates is promoted to senior vice president, taking on Vindivich’s former role as head of Trident Public Risk Solutions. Vindivich and Coates begin serving in these roles immediately, reporting to Kevin Rehnberg, Argo’s U.S operations president. Art Davis, former E&S president, has left the company.

With more than 30 years of industry experience, Vindivich served most recently as president of Trident, Argo Group’s public entity insurance and risk management business. Prior to this role, Vindivich held a number of positions at Colony Specialty beginning as underwriting vice president in 2006 – ultimately being promoted to senior vice president in 2010 before moving over to lead Trident in 2013. Prior to working at Colony, Vindivich held a number of positions at Chubb, Kemper and CNA. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Penn State University. He is also a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter.
Coates moves into her role leading Trident with more than 25 years of industry experience, including almost 15 years in the public entity sector. She joined Trident in 2008 as part of the Massamont acquisition, serving in many roles within the underwriting division before being appointed vice president, director of underwriting in 2016. Prior to joining Trident, Coates was a senior underwriter of public entities with Massamont Insurance, managing large municipal and school risks. She is a Certified Insurance Service Representative and maintains the Certified School Risk Managers designation.
