ROME – 15 October 2018 – ArgoGlobal Assicurazioni S.p.A., member of Argo Group International Holdings, Ltd. (NYSE: ARGO), an international underwriter of specialty insurance and reinsurance, today announced the appointment of Marcello Lombardini as Distribution and Business Development Director. Joining from Banca IFIS, where he was most recently a Senior Insurance Consultant, he will report to Giovanni Tucci, Managing Director of ArgoGlobal Assicurazioni.
Lombardini will grow ArgoGlobal Assicurazioni’s distribution network in order to increase share of the Italian market, also managing and developing existing broker relationships to better address and serve the needs of clients.

Lombardini comes to Argo with more than three decades of industry experience working for a range of carriers and brokers. He most recently served at Willis Italia where he spent more than six years – starting as a placement officer coordinating the work of 150 brokers and ultimately serving as the CEO of Willis General Agency Srl – an underwriting agency owned by Willis Italia. Earlier in his career, he was a broker with several companies, including Ital, Iniassi. He also served as Head of Broker Channels and Head of SME Business at Zurich Group in Italy.
