Argo Group colleagues teamed up with broker partners to host a LinkedIn Live session on early career advice at the WSIA Annual Marketplace.
“Argo has numerous programs to invest in young professionals, including internships and Ascend With Argo,” says Mallorie Harper, Vice President, Marketing and Producer Management, who also hosted the session. “A live session was a great way to promote our expertise and pass along guidance to early-career brokers and underwriters.”
Panelists shared advice on building brands and relationships
- Communicate honestly. “Relationships are everything in this industry,” says Kate Garcia, AVP, Construction, Middle Market. The panelists emphasized that responsive, honest communication builds trust and helps relationships thrive.
- Be visible. “You need to be in front of your clients,” says Chris Schramm, VP Underwriting – Head of Primary Casualty. “Attend events like WSIA, go to local chapter happy hours, go out to industry events and educational events.”
- Branch out. “Continue the thirst for knowledge,” says Kate. “Don’t be afraid to get out of your comfort zone. Continue to do things, and it opens so many doors.”
