Helping to Secure the Future

Established in 2009 in Bermuda, home of Argo Group’s headquarters, The Argo Foundation invests in programs and services that enrich the lives of Bermuda’s youth, preparing them for a productive and rewarding future.

Funding decisions are made at quarterly meetings by an independent allocations committee made up of Argo Group employees living and working in Bermuda as well as a cross-section of Bermudians working in the for- and not-for-profit sectors.

Funding criteria
The foundation’s mission is to support the healthy development and well-being of Bermuda’s young people under the age of 18. The following criteria are required.

  • Charities are registered in Bermuda and have an active board of governors that meets regularly.
  • Financial statements are filed with the Bermuda Charities Commissioner according to the schedule established by the Commissioner.
  • Programs and services offered are not duplicated by other nonprofits in Bermuda. (Where similar objectives are shared, there should be clear evidence of partnership and cooperation.)
